The City of Henderson, along with ACSIA Partner and Allstate, are pleased to offer Long-Term Care Plus Life Insurance. This voluntary benefit program is available to eligible employees, and their spouses / domestic partners during your new hire event.

You have 30 days from your date of hire to enroll or if you experience a qualifying life event (QLE) such as marriage, divorce, birth of a child.

What is Long-Term Care Plus Life Insurance?
Long-Term Care (LTC) Insurance pays for care when someone develops a disability or has chronic care needs due to accident or illness. For example, there may come a time when you or a loved one need help walking, getting dressed, eating or bathing. Long-Term Care services may be brief with full recovery, or can continue for many years. Young or old, LTC insurance picks up where your health insurance leaves off. Injuries and illnesses can happen at any age and can suddenly replace your good health. Playing sports, riding a motorcycle, skiing, diving, or horseback riding can result in an accident-related injury.  If you don't use the entire benefit amount you enrolled in for LTC, it will be payable as a death benefit.

What does Long-Term Care insurance provide?
A long-term care insurance plan pays for services in your home, in an assisted living facility, and skilled nursing facility. Services such as skilled and/or custodial care are covered. Benefits are payable according to the terms of your long-term care insurance policy.

Which extended family members are eligible for Long-Term Care Plus Life?
Eligible family members include: spouse and domestic partner.
