Each year you will have an opportunity to update your benefit elections.
You may make changes to your health insurance elections during the Open Enrollment period. Open Enrollment is:
- Teamsters - October 15th - November 15th
- Non-Presented and Public Safety - November 1st - 30th
Teamster Employees will make their open enrollment changes directly with their Third Party Administrator, Zenith American Solutions. This includes completion of the Spousal Affidavit that is required every year during Open Enrollment.
Non-Represented and Public Safety Employees will make their Open Enrollment changes directly in PeopleSoft Employee Self-Service.
Once you have made your dental plan election during Open Enrollment, you may not change it until the next year's Open Enrollment unless you experience a "Qualifying Life Event." This opens a special enrollment window for 30 days for all events, with the exception of birth of a child, which has a 90 day special enrollment window.
Qualifying Life Events include:
- Marriage
- Divorce or legal separation
- Birth or adoption of a child
- Death
- Spouse losing coverage at their place of employment
If you wish make changes to your coverage due to a Qualifying Life Event, you may do so through the PeopleSoft Self-Service portal if you are NOT a Teamster employee. Teamsters must contact Zenith American Solutions at (702) 851-8286 to report a Qualifying Life Event.
