Open Enrollment
for Plan Year 2025 is
October 15th- November 15th
From now through November 15th you can access the open enrollment portal online. Any changes made during open enrollment will become effective January 1, 2025. Visit the Teamsters 14 Open Enrollment to hear what is in store for you for Open Enrollment for 2024.
It is very important to complete a spousal affidavit if your spouse is currently enrolled on our plan, if the spousal affidavit is not completed, then the medical and prescription coverage will terminate January 1, 2024. This process is an annual requirement.
If you are not making any changes, you will not need to do anything further unless you have a spouse on the plan, in which case you must complete the spousal affidavit.
What You Need to Know…
- Open enrollment is your once-a-year opportunity to change your medical and dental elections. Changes you make take effect January 1, 2025.
- Required! To cover your spouse in 2025 you must submit a spousal affidavit.
- Starting October 15, log in to the benefits portal.

What if...You Don’t Enroll?
You and your covered children will have the same coverage for 2025 as you do now. If you’re married and you don’t complete the online spousal affidavit by November 15, your spouse will lose medical coverage on January 1, 2025.Questions?

Plan changes are allowed only during the open enrollment period. Coverage level changes are allowed at other times of the year only if you experience a qualifying life event, such as getting married or divorced, having a baby, or your spouse losing coverage under his or her own plan, but you must make
them within 60 days of experiencing the qualifying life event.

Just log in to the new benefits portal. In the left-hand menu, click Open Enrollment/Spousal Affidavit and then follow the step-by-step instructions.

Teamsters Open Enrollment for
FSA (Flexible Spending Account)
is November 1-30
If you wish to elect or re-elect a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for Plan Year 2025, you much do so during City Open Enrollment from November 1 - 30, 2024. You will make your election directly through PeopleSoft Employee Self-Service.
What is an FSA ?
Flexible spending allows you to pay certain health care and dependent care expenses using pre-tax income. The 2025, contribution maximums are $3,300 for medical FSA and $5,000 for dependent care expenses.
Eligible health care expenses can include:
- Deductibles
- Copayments
- Coinsurance
- Other out-of-pocket unreimbursed medical expenses
- Over-the-counter medications
- Feminine hygiene products
Eligible dependent care expenses can include:
- Child care and elder/adult day care

How do I enroll?
If you wish to participate in the FSA program for the 2025 plan year, you MUST enroll using the Open Enrollment tile in PeopleSoft Employee Self-Service or go to PeopleSoft > Employee Self-Service > Open Enrollment no later than November 30, 2024. Call COH Benefits at 702-267-1944 for assistance with using the Employee Self-Service online enrollment function.
Once you are enrolled, you will receive further direction on the following:
- Obtaining your pre-paid benefits debit card (medical expenses only)
- Submitting reimbursement requests for qualified transactions
- Signing up for direct deposit for your reimbursements
